Breaking News: Brock Lesnar to meet with WWE officials.
- WWE.com has learned that the meeting between Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon has ended. On his way out of WWE Headquarters, Lesnar had the following to say about the meeting:
"Both Vince and I vented, and I think we both feel better about the possibility of a deal being made. But there is no deal yet."
When contacted for a response, the Chairman's office simply stated "no comment."
The following is what Brock Lesnar had to say prior to his meeting with Vince McMahon:
Just hours before his meeting with Vince McMahon, an optimistic Brock Lesnar sat down with WWE.com to talk about his departure last year, possible upcoming return and more.
If all goes well between Lesnar and McMahon today, the former WWE Champion still has to consider how he will be received by the WWE Superstars. “I have to take into consideration that this is a business,” replied Lesnar regarding any ill feelings toward him. “Hopefully, a return is what everybody wants to see. I can tell you that I will commit myself to be the guy I was in the ring before I left. If there’s problems from the boys, that’s not my problem. I never had a problem with them. They’ve been nothing but great to me in the past.
“If I do come back, though, people should be aware that they need to be on their toes,” Lesnar continued. “There ain’t nobody that can hold a candle to me. Taken from WWE

This Week On Raw
- As RAW was drawing to a close, Piper delivered on his promise and brought HBK to explain his actions from last week. Michaels told the fans that for 20 years he came out with one intention – to give the fans something they wouldn’t forget. He said he literally broke his back for them, and when he heard the chants at the Hall of Fame ceremony of “One more match!” for Hogan, he decided to sacrifice himself one more time for the fans. By giving Hogan Sweet Chin Music last week, he said he guaranteed that Hogan would have one more match and that it would be against HBK himself. With that, Michaels said that immortality has a price and laid out the challenge to Hogan – The “Immortal” Hulk Hogan vs. The Showstopper Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam.
Before Michaels left, however, Piper demanded to know the real reason for blindsiding the Hulkster. HBK tried to leave again, but Piper called him a coward. With that, just as swiftly and unexpectedly as last week, HBK laid out another Hall of Famer as he floored Hot Rod with Sweet Chin Music. Taken From WWE.

- In the Angle Invitational, Angle puts his Olympic Gold Medal up for grabs to any “hometown hero” who thinks he has what it takes to last three minutes with the Olympic Gold Medalist. Matt Striker, the same man who has been in headlines for calling in sick from his teaching job to wrestle, answered the call. Striker gave Angle his biggest scare ever. No one had ever come close to taking Angle the distance when he was on Smackdown!, but Striker kicked out of an Ankle Lock attempt and reversed an Angle Slam. But Angle eventually got the Ankle Lock hooked, and Striker tapped out with just one second to go. Taken From WWE.

- Carlito also faced Shelton Benjamin in an Intercontinental Championship rematch from Vengeance. Carlito tried everything, but couldn’t put Benjamin away. After being knocked out of the ring, Carlito simply walked away, taking a count-out loss, but retaining the Intercontinental Championship since a Championship cannot change hands on a disqualification or count-out. - In another re-match from Vengeance, Edge took on Kane. Before the match, Edge promised that if Snitsky would help him in his battle against Kane, then he would let him have some time with Lita’s feet to satisfy his foot-fetish. Snitsky made good on his word and came to the aid of Edge as Kane was gaining control and caused a disqualification. Taken from WWE.

This Week On Smackdown!
- This week and actually helped The Blue Meanie defeat JBL in a No Disqualification Match early in the night.
Meanie and the entire Blue World Order of ECW fame interrupted JBL’s opening monologue before spray-painting his precious limo with the letters bwo. Of course, it was JBL’s controversial beating of the Blue Meanie at One Night Stand that had wrestling fans buzzing for weeks. JBL actually dominated the match but was done in by a chair shot from Stevie Richards and a Batista Bomb. Taken From WWE.

- Chris Benoit defeated Booker T to become the No. 1 Contender for the United States Championship. The Crippler will now face United States Champion Orlando Jordan at The Great American Bash. Taken From WWE.

- Meanwhile, Muhammad Hassan found out he would face Undertaker at The Great American Bash with the winner becoming the automatic No. 1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Hassan then watched calmly as Daivari quickly lost a match with Undertaker, who tombstoned Hassan’s manager
But Hassan had a plan as five masked men, a few of them with clubs, attacked Undertaker, choked him out with a wire and then left him gasping for breath as Hassan jumped in and placed The Deadman in a Camel Clutch. Taken From WWE.

- Also, Eddie Guerrero isn’t done torturing Rey Mysterio. After forcing Mysterio to be his partner in a WWE Tag Team Championship match against MNM, Latino Heat basically sabotaged any chance they had to win by sitting out large segments of the match and then attacking Mysterio from behind when it appeared Rey might win the match by himself.
Guerrero then had the nerve to make Mysterio open the ropes for him as he left, threatening to reveal their secret if Mysterio didn’t oblige. Taken From WWE.
